4-2-10 – Benefit for BSA Troop 291
at Heritage Oak Winery- Locally renown
bluegrass band Stringin' Along is being revived and
joined by a host of fellow musicians at Heritage Oak
Winery in an event to benefit BSA Troop 291. The $20 per
person door charge will be applied in entirety to
replace the money recently stolen from the boys'
accounts. Come out to support the Scouts and have a
toe-tapping darn good time. The tasting room will open
a noon. Appetizers will be provided. Picnickers are
always welcome. Wine will be available by the bottle or
glass. Plan to come early as seating may be limited.
Late arrivals are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Join us at
Heritage Oak Winery Saturday, February 27 at 2 PM for a
concert featuring Swing Shift, with vocalist Jackie
Floyd, Jim Floyd on keyboard, Pieter Koon on percussion,
and Carl Granato on guitar. Typically performing as part
of the larger and locally renown seven member dance band
Night Shift, this smaller quartet entertains with
nostalgic old jazz standards. Favorites by Frank
Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Jane Monheit, Diana Krall and
others are the backbone of the repertoire. Children are
welcomed. Come early, bring a picnic and take a walk to
our beach along the Mokelumne. This is a free event.
The tasting room will open at 12:00. The concert will
run from 2:00 to 4:30 PM. Wine will be available by the
glass or bottle.

Posted 3/10/09 - MOTHERS DAY ON THE BANKS OF THE
MOKELUMNE -Treat
Mom to a Mother's Day picnic at Heritage Oak. On Sunday
May 10, arrive at the tasting room by 11 AM and be
transported to the beach via
a hay ride behind a tractor. Foot traffic is also fine.
Bring your own chairs and blankets. There at the
beach, the picnic and wine you order in advance will be
waiting. Play in the sand, swing on the rope or play
frizbee in the meadow. Return to the tasting room by 3
PM for a concert. Food and wine are $15 per person.
Children under 21 years are $12. Order in advance Call

Heritage Oak Winery present Water & Wine

Tom & Carmela Hoffman have combined two of Lodi’s greatest
assets, fabulous wines and the beautiful nature and allure
of the Mokelumne River. From the tasting room enjoy a
leisurely stroll through the vineyards to the banks of the
river. There you can enjoy a picnic basket lunch and a
refreshing dip in the cool waters of the Mokelumne.
Should you choose to float down from Stillman L. Magee
Park, plan on a nice ½ day trip. You can drag your kayak or float on to shore
and hike up to the tasting room and enjoy some fabulous
wines and then continue on your adventure. Please be sure
to exercise responsibility on the river and as always
never take in what you can’t pack out.

in place at the Heritage Oak Beach, the location pictured
position is Latitude N 38° 9'23"
by Longitude W 121° 11' 46" at
this location your heading on the river should read 285°.
Always remember to wear a
United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved properly fitted
personal flotation device (PFD), carry a cell phone or
other audible signaling device and when possible always
use the buddy system. If you go alone leave a float
plan with detailed information including launching point
and time, estimated time on the river and where you plan
to pull out of the river. Be safe, have fun and respect
the river and the property along it.
